Save the Date! The First Annual National Urban Debate Dinner Will Be Held April 5th, 2008
The first National Urban Debate Dinner will be held Saturday night, April 5th, 2008, in Chicago.
Please
reserve it for an evening of entertainment, philanthropy, and nostalgia.
Guests will gather at the University Club of Chicago overlooking the
city's new Millennium Park. Appropriately underneath the crests of
many of the country's Colleges and Universities, guests will celebrate
the urban debate movement and its ability literally to transform the
lives of our nation's youth.
The Dinner will feature as keynote speaker Department of Justice Special Counsel and United States Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald in a rare public appearance. Before dinner, particularly distinguished NAUDL supporters will host a private reception. And, throughout the day and weekend, the NAUDL will facilitate gatherings of former debaters by vintage and/or school.
Most importantly, the festivities will celebrate the urban debate movement. They will honor its history, report on its present, and outline the NAUDL's vision for its future. And, the NAUDL will introduce and bestow on a special honoree the first annual National Urban Debate Champion award.
